Got three bunches of flowers (that they paid for out of their own money) and a new top. Also got Sunday lunch shopped for, cooked AND washed up by himself with mint choc chip Vienetta for dessert (chosen bu the little people). Boy #2 also gave me a card he had made, part of what he had written was '... You are the nicest mum, you look after us like god looks after us ...' (bit worried about his current (slight) god obsessions.
Bella - it was lovely. They all kept asking me if I had had a nice day and the card from the boy was lovely (I am not one for stuff - didn't even have a vase so the flowers are in a big jug). I was impressed with the effort himself put into the day too (he has never taken them all anywhere on his own) - the only downside was I had the house to myself for just over a hour and didn't know what to do with myself.
Like you said bella each to their own...i try to avoid vouchers cos i think theyre a tad thoughtless....but again i couldnt go pick my mum a top or something like sherr got. Other occasions my mum usually drops massive hintsnor asks outright for what she wants......and i really dont mind that :0) xx
Either way i hope all mums or daughters had a lovely day with their loved ones or with fond memories of the mummys or daughters who they couldnt be with xxx
