Certainly not mend.
That's a tough one to call - having a baby puts a whole new complexion on a relationship and if it's already a rocky one it could go either way.
I wouldn't be having a baby in a rocky relationship. It's not a baby's job to sort out adults' problems.
Destroy.

Sleep deprived people in a rocky relation doesn't bode well.
Elastoplast babies, rarely work , sadly .
Of the three outcomes, that is certainly two of them
Unfortunately, eventually destroy.
If the relationship is already rocky I don't see how having a baby is going to mend it .

A baby isn't a psychiatrist
A baby can put a strain on the most solid relationship, on the most balanced of people.
The baby won't help a rocky relationship in any way. That is the worst reason to have a baby
9/10 times destroy.

However occasionally….. VERY occasionally… it can mend.

My parents - now married for 51 years - had split when they found out my mum was pregnant with eldest brother (their first kiddy). Got back together n 51 years, 3 kids later still happy n together x
Disclaimer to above- the pregnancy with brother was genuine “whoops” - not planned

To “plan” a baby to mend a relationship is selfish and immature

Hear hear, a dreadful way to behave.

I believe the woman in question has, stopped her contraception, on purpose, to get the fella to stay with her, or rather that is what she is hoping.
That old ploy fruitsalad. It works quite often if the guy is a decent sort who takes responsibility for his actions. Albeit, he doesn’t realise twas a trap......
Our niece has just had a baby and didn't tell the father she'd stopped taking contraception. They've only been together for just over a year.

I can't see it lasting.
