Hi, I have just had a phone call from my elderly neighbour 91 who wants me to look into Talking Books for her, she has Macular Degeneration so cannot read, and wears hearing aids, so headphones are no good, can anyone suggest a simple device she would be able to use. Thanks

an alexa would do it. A kindle does it with an audible subscrition. A cd player would do it
RNIB might be a good place to start. But I don't think they are cheap.
Ideally a device that can be stopped at a certain point in the book and returned to later to resume reading. Not so easy with a standard CD player, I think.
The Talking Newspaper Federation would be a better place to start rather than RNIB.
