How Do I Tell My Mum This?

I got a new job in home bargains as my job cut my hours but I haven't told my mum yet. I'm starting in home bargains and working in current job part time.

Why the problem abbey? Does she not approve of retail work? Just tell her, or do you notget on well with her?

Abbey, when you explain to your mum that you are taking this extra job because the care home has reduced your hours, she will surely understand that you need to earn extra money.

Well, as said by others:  Tell the truth.  The care home job has cut your hours, so (well done you) you've got another one in retail to make up the hours and  that you start on whenever.  I'm curious as to why you haven't kept your mum up to date.  Would she be disappointed in you for not holding-down a job?  Whatever it is, you live at home and your mum has a right to know.

You really need to know why the care home cut your hours, though  - and remedy any faults.  Tell your mum. :)

Yes but you have to ask yourself and them what that means...are you too slow or fussy when working, or do you seem stressed or complaints too much,or are they really just not happy with your work and are trying to tell you nicely they don't want you.

People get their hours cut these days for a number of reasons, Abbeylee - I am sure your mother will be aware of this.  Seems to be a simple thing to tell her your hours have been cut at the Care Home but you have found work to make the time up?  Have you arranged it so that there will be no problem with the two jobs overlapping?

Does Mum show interest in your work and ask you how things are?

 You can just say that you have secured  work at HB to earn more money in addition to the care home and, for now, don't mention the reduced hours, but you will have to tell her eventually 😀
