Now I'm annoyed

Further to the request for help in tracing the death of a friend.
My daughters best friends mother.
We discovered to day that the girl in question lied thorgh her teeth about her mother dieing. How low can you get and we still are none the wiser as to why.

Pickle I understand what your getting at. She hasn't ever done anything like this before though.
I personally never liked her because she has caused problems before in the past for my daughter. But me and my girl have come to an understanding about that. I can't and won't choose my daughters friends for her but I always knew that something like this would happen. It was just a matter of time.
Many people have said the same thing to her.
My girl says shes gone to far this time so maybe shes finally seen the light. This girl in in Spain now so maybe it will be the last we see of her.

Like I said I sort of saw this coming. The moment my girl said that her best mates mum had died alarm bells started ringing. There were to many faults in her story. It is rather rare these days for some one to fall into a diabetic coma and die so quickly while your in hospital. I know this because my ex husband was a diabetic.
If it had been my mum theres no way I would have allowed myself to be stopped from going to the funeral.
So many things didn't add up but my girl just wanted to help her. I said I was sorry to hear about the death but I cvouldn't help the feeling that she wasn't being on the level. She left England for Spain a few months ago which is where her mother lives and she left my girl getting threats from her ex boyfriend and nearly getting another exboyfriend of hers beaten up.
I seriously think she has no thought for any one but herself.

strange thing happened pickle. My daughter got a message from her this afternoon after confronting her and you know she didn't even attempt to cover it up of lie or even make and excuse about it all. She went as far as trying to make it look like it was all my daughters fault. Her exact words were "this friendship was always one sided so I won't be contacting you again."
Thats word for word and all she had to say for herself.
is that classed as being a sociopath as well?
Please don't take that as sarcasm it's not meant to be. I just want to understand why?
This has hurt my daughter a lot. I don't think she quite knows what to do next.
It would appear this girl just dosen't care or can't see what she did was wrong.

Some pople lie to make themselves seem more interesting or important. They can set up all sorts of bizarre situations to make people feel sorry for them or want to be friends with them.

There was a program on TV a couple of weeks ago about a woman who said she was in the twin towers (high up) but survived, but her finace died in the twin towers.

Since then she has been interviewed by TV stations and newspapers and has become quite a celebrity.

She also became a guide at the ground zero site and took people round.

After some detective work by a TV program it turns out she was never IN the twin towers, and she never had a fiancee and did not know anyone who had died in the twin towers.

She obviously did all that to make herself seem more important than she really was.

I remember hearing about her.
But she has given excuse. Finally. it would seem she has blamed her ex boyfriend.
She recons he is trying ti cause trouble. But we kow thats not the case. She lied to him as well.
