I'm not talking about the obvious instances when grated cheese is required, like a recipe of a pizza.

Do you just grate cheese to make it go further?

It does wind me up a little when people grate cheese to put in a sandwich!

or to go with a salad.

I know sometimes people will grate cheese to make it go further, don't do it, just put less cheese in or buy more cheese, don't be so tight with the cheese!

I like thick cut cheese in a sandwich or a big! big! chunk of cheese with a salad.
I like my cheese so I can get my teeth into it.

and as for the pre-made sandwiches the sell in the garage, grated cheese with mayo!!! Why do the have to put mayo in every bloody sandwich they make grrrrrr!!
