They've all been eaten and actually look like real bread! I wouldn't use it for school sandwiches though as it is slightly heavier than shop bought, sliced bread and I can't cut it thin enough. My lot like fresh bread and butter with any meal and would eat it with anything if I made it for them - they could probably go through two loaves at a sitting if it was available.
not necessarily - if you have a good artisan baker in the area, ask him/her.....a treat is in store if it is made well.....a little heavier, darker but a hint of saltiness/sugar.......then the cheese on top.
it kinda smells of beer - maybe that's the yeast but it dead yummy & fattening when served hot dripping with butter. I've seen it in Farmers Markets, usually on an irish stall.
