Hiya, earlier I bought a watermelon from the market and put it on the floor when I got home and noticed it rocking slightly which was strange as the house was quiet and no sign of any music or large vehicles or anything and the floor is level as I checked with my boyfriends spirit level to check I wasn't going mad! so I pushed it with the mop to inspect the outside to make sure a family of wasps, rats or voles haven't somehow got in but there are no marks whatsoever on the outside. I picked it up and immediately dropped it into the laundry basket as there was definitely an angry humming and rattling noise coming from inside the watermelon. I've now taken it out to the far side of the garden in fear in case something breaks out of it. My friend is coming over and wants to put a video camera on it, chop it with an axe and run but I'm not so sure as if there are creatures inside from other lands and we let them loose on the countryside who knows what kind of ecological mess we could cause so my question is what to do? Call the police, zooologists? What would you do?

You'd get on with 99% of my exes then timeserus!
Thanks Trim, we are loveable yet very misunderstood...and rather partial to melon ;o)
Do you not think it would be safer if you put the melon in a cage?
Not if it's full of killer bees Judy...the cage would be useless ;o)
I'm a bit worried about the cantaloupe I bought yesterday !

OH MY GOD! It's nearly 3! I've got to back back to my outfit and nibbles prep, I will report back later with what happened! On a side note I've just made some skewered pineapple chorizo mixed sweet pepper and pitted olive kebabs drizzled with chilli olive oil and they're to DIE FOR! Pure lush on my tastebuds! ciao!
I cannot believe i'm following this thread.

I thought today was July 1st. I must be mistaken and it's April 1st.

Micmak truth is sometimes stranger than fiction especially in my life! One week with me and the girls would make your head spin! LOL! This time I have to go! CIAO for now!
I once sliced into a Bramley apple and this creature shot out and scurried across the worktop, never seen again but I do hear strange scuttling noises in there sometimes.
I hope they don't get a whiff of the chorizo, it could drive them wild. Don't know about a cage but maybe a police cordon and 3 mile exclusion zone might be in order
Ha mazie! I'd be inclined to drill a hole in it, insert a periscope and if it looked nasty skoosh some fly killer in it.

Ditzy please let us know the outcome...or what comes out lol
Mamy is that a true story and did you eat the apple?
It is totally true and I did not eat it, we had rice pudding that day instead.
Maybe it's possessed. Possesed with the spirit of Princess Margaret, she liked a vodka or two.
What is worse than finding a maggot in an apple you're eating? Finding half a maggot.
But....Did she like Melon ?
I think so mazie....or maybe she didn't and that is why her spirit is trying to get out!
Sorry for doubting you mamy lol If that had been me it wouldn't just have been the beast that shot out of the kitchen.

Maybe Ditzy can keep the melon as a pet, put it on a lead and take it for walks :o)
