HELP! My watermelons alive!
127 Answers
Hiya, earlier I bought a watermelon from the market and put it on the floor when I got home and noticed it rocking slightly which was strange as the house was quiet and no sign of any music or large vehicles or anything and the floor is level as I checked with my boyfriends spirit level to check I wasn't going mad! so I pushed it with the mop to inspect the outside to make sure a family of wasps, rats or voles haven't somehow got in but there are no marks whatsoever on the outside. I picked it up and immediately dropped it into the laundry basket as there was definitely an angry humming and rattling noise coming from inside the watermelon. I've now taken it out to the far side of the garden in fear in case something breaks out of it. My friend is coming over and wants to put a video camera on it, chop it with an axe and run but I'm not so sure as if there are creatures inside from other lands and we let them loose on the countryside who knows what kind of ecological mess we could cause so my question is what to do? Call the police, zooologists? What would you do?

I wonder what has happened to ditzy's one...hope it's not exploded and frightened the life out of her.
as its past the 9pm watershed, ditzy could try cutting a small hole in the offending fruit, attaching the gadget below to her tongue and enjoy the experience.

Well I repeat what I said, that google says 'vibrating water melons' are a sign that the melon is ripe and ready to eat. This would also back up what classyLady60 says about china saying their melons explode because they grow very big ( due to being very ripe?????) I notice that Ditzymarie21 has still not updated her 'story'. Which still leads me to think that this was one BIG wind up. Very funny and very clever, coz its kept us all guessing!!!!
