Sketches Series Shiraz/Grenache 2009.

This perky red from SE Australia has fabulously intense aromas of black fruit which gives way to ripe, juicy favours of red fruits on the palate and a touch of sweet spice on the finish. Soft, easy drinking and perfect with charcuterie and cheeses.

Available in Tesco at the offer price of £4.99 (down from £7.99).

And if it's just a single glass of bubbles you fancy, Asda have some cute little baby bottles of Villa Jolanda Prosecco, with a fine, persistent lemony mousse for just £2.49. Perfect if you just want one glass.

And with Valentine's Day just around the corner, why not seduce your loved one with a bottle of Pierre Darcys Brut Champagne - a snip at £10. Available in Adsa while stocks last.

J'adore Viognier! My favourites are Pepperwood Grove (£7.99 in Morissons) and The Boulders (£5.99 in the Coop). Both Californian.

DT, I am very intrigued by your wine. I will be googling that tomorrow.
... but the white Porcy is good too ...

Hang on...a Viognier blended with syrah...that must be a red?

I think that Zacs, like me, prefers his viognier to be white...

If they have the Orzada Carmenere 2008, grab a bottle of that too, NoM....delish
Question Author

Chilean - an Odfjell sister product....sorry.
Question Author
Don't apologise. It sounds delish ...

Is it too early for a glass of vino ??

For anyone interested, the £10 champers was quite delightful. An absolute bargain.
