Mashed potato

I can make a mean mash...but sometimes I see people putting an egg in it (or is it just the yolk?)

What difference does that make?

well i'm sitting here thinking i'm not convinced, but then i love egg and chips, sort of the same thing but a diff shape and chrispiness
