Hi, does anyone know of a brand of egg poacher that has metal, rather than plastic, cups.

I do mine in cling film
Plastic ones are useless.They don't conduct the heat like metal ones.I use the one I got from my old gran and don't know what I will do if it evere goes missing
My plastic ones are great.........perfect eggs every time.
Try Poachies - saw a demo at the Dartington Food Fair - really impressed - no stirring, no oil in water, no mess to clean up afterwards!

Katie...no, they don't stick. You can use them to bake things as well.

They are not poached if you use a cup or anything else to put the eggs in to. They are steamed.
Surely poached eggs are cooked in water. Eggs cooked in a container placed in boiling water are 'coddled eggs'

Those eggs aren't poached, though
For some reason people can't poach eggs. I actually prefer them poached in water and they came out sound everytime.

The pods are good for baking things.
I poach mine in a frying pan of water, with a lid on.
I poach mine at night from the local chicken farm :)
