I made Spag Bol (Mics Favourite) Sheperds Pie and Cottage pie. Mic has a lot of trouble with choking, That's why I try to make meals that are easy to chew. Anyway, today I told him what I'd made and he said "Can I have beans and chips please". Have what ever you want says I. Biting my tongue that I'd been up till past midnight.

Then I read the Dee Sa thread and felt really bad.

You clearly have the patience of a saint... or maybe it's just true love.

But yes, I know what you mean. I read that thread too, and it kind of puts things into perspective.
You're a good 'un Jeza, love to MicMac.
Jeza you are so good to mic and patient with it. I haven't seen Dee Saa's thread but you've no need to beat yourself up.
Good evening Jezza, and Mic x
Don't feel bad Jeza, we all cope in our own way.

Thanks for your answers. Mic is not too good, he throws up a lot and not in good places. Though not my cooking I hope.
oh Jeza, so sorry to hear Mic isn't so good.
Please pass on our regards, love and best wishes xxxx
we all have moments like that - just tell him about Dee and that you love having him with you, beans, shepherds pie, spag bol or whatever
sorry to hear that mic is bad at the moment. and don't bother about the cooking, after all whatever you fancy is good for happy thoughts. love to you both. xx
My dads just had radiation treatment on his jaw. The side effects are a blistered mouth and cracked tongue combined with severe pain, so you have my empathy.
Jeza, no idea what is wrong with your husband but has he ever had a SALT assessment?

My husband had his today and they teach you had to swallow safely etc etc. I'm guessing he prob has though? x
I felt really bad on the day I posted my worried post as Owd had just passed away and I didn't see the post. I felt to guilty but you can't check every post etc.
*so guilty
Jeza.....just because something bad happens to someone else it doesn't mean your problems and feelings are any less valid. Caring for someone is exhausting no matter how much you love them .... I hope he enjoyed his chips and beans though even if he has trouble the pleasure of flavours is one he hasn't been denied by his illness.
