Anyone agree that the aforementioned 'coffee' is really the dust leftover that's accumulated on the machinery and floor, then swept up (probably with a dustpan) and put in the Mellow Birds jars for the unfussy coffee drinkers?

My other half drinks this stuff every morning!

I tried it once many years ago.

Never again.
It certainly didn't make me smile....
Bleah! That must be the worst EVER "coffee", (in its loosest connection with actual coffee), IMO
To make you smile. ? Still make it ?
I have had he misfortune to have been given a cup of it in the past ... Bleugh!
I have to confess I have a jar of it. But only because it works particularly well in my signature dish. I once ran out of coffee so made a cup of that because I couldn't be bothered to put the coffee pot on. It was disgusting. Never again will I run out of coffee.
For 'Mellow' subsitute Weak.
It's time to change where I shop.... Look at this..

Well someone's buying it
They still make that ???
No JJ, they stopped making it twenty years ago, but they are still selling off the old stock (or at least that's what it tastes like)
I worked with someone who only drank Mellow Birds and would tell people off at brew time if they made her cup of coffee too stong. Surely an impossibilty! So there is something worse than Mellow Birds - it is weak Mellow Birds.
lol
Camp coffee is just as bad:chicory with an atom of coffee.
How long do you have to boil it for, Chuck?
