Has anyone got ideas about cooking cauli? Would stir frying be ok? And what spices etc could you put with it to make it a bit interesting? Thanks for any thoughts.

Stir frying is fine, roasting in oil with other veg is also fine. Anything to make it taste of something :-(
Stir-frying is quite successful. Turmeric goes quite well to spice up the flavour.
Unless you want it quite crunchy stir-fried, you can part-cook (steam or microwave)....then stir-fry. A dollop of one of Patak's curry pastes would spice it up nicely.
As said-Indian spices go very well with it...it makes a nice curry with tomatoes and peas.
You can also make cauli mash....well seasoned, with butter and cream.
Take your pick - http://tinyurl.com/pfy8h8e
i put it into steam bag with a touch of paprika shove in to micro for few mins
Can you really make cauliflower interesting ?

I hate eating the stuff , along with Brocolli - however i do regularly eat the said devil's foods , cos apparently , they have particular health benefits
I make this quite often...and it does make cauli taste interesting.

Thanks for so many really good ideas. When I see them in the shop looking all white and fresh and lovely I can't help buying one - results before have been a bit dismal. But I'm looking forward to trying out some of these Top Tips!
If you want it simple, always STEAM (don't boil) and serve with butter/herbs or a simple white sauce with paprika.

I do have a way of doing cauliflower raw in a salad - its with garlic, turmeric, mustard, mango chutney apple. chopped cheese, cashews and mayo.!! Everyone seems to love it but as I'm trying to lose some weight am giving it a miss at present.
Have an Indian recipe for cauliflower cooked in yoghurt but never tried it.
Garlic, onion, ginger and garam masala are used.
I love cauliflower.
Cauliflower and Stilton soup or cauliflower and chickpea curry.
I like the Nigella way of cooking cauli - put in an oven proof dish, sprinkle with ground coriander and a few spoons of water. Cover and bake.
Old fashioned perhaps but I still like it with a cheese sauce.
cauli cheese is one of my fav things to eat.

spicy cauli soup is really nice too
I will never forget - it scarred me for life :-) - when I got a vegetable curry from our local takeaway, and I found a whole sprout in it......
