I've got most of the ingredients so looks like dinner is decided for tomorrow....
No shopping for you then, bonus :)
I need pork mince and celery. So wished they sold celery by the stick...it stinks the fridge out!! Oh, and red wine....bummer!
I'd double up the quantities if you're healthy eaters, the amounts in the recipe wouldn't have fed four of us in this house. I always find that with recipes though, I naturally double most of them.
Will do....they will take any leftovers for work. Saves me making sandwiches :-)
I always make four times the amount and freeze it down. Less wastage, if you are not big celery eaters or wine drinkers. Also if you buy you meat from the supermarket it tends to be packed in 500g quantities.
didn't know lasagne had carrots in it??
Carrots are used for the ragu.
Barney the holy trinity of Italian cooking is a soffrito made of onion, celery and carrot.

It's a good way of getting veg into kids and stretching meat too.
You learn something new every day - thank you Eccles :)
You're welcome Barney.

Going back to the OP, I did watch last night and am pretty sure onions did go in and looking at GC lasagne recipes they do feature onion.
