No, I stick with chicken eggs.
chickens don't lay eggs -hens lay eggs ;-)

oh dear looks like i worded it wrong lol
I'm on a diet.
I should think it is a Silicon Egg Poacher, mallyah. Be like everyone else and pay no attention to me.
Hens may lay eggs but cockerels lay hens!
Yes...I have them. Poached eggs are better being poached in water but the silicone poachers can go in the oven and you can make some nice things.

Fry some bacon and mushrooms (and whatever else you fancy) put in the poacher, crack an egg in and bake.

Google baked eggs.
My mates got one(or plastic). I think he likes it.
Use them all the time.

Try smearing a little butter or spread on them and put them in the saucepan to warm up before you put the eggs in. Take them out, crack the eggs into them and put back (four minutes with the lid on for a runny yolk).
Yes they are used successfully all the time. Same as NJ, you need to oil them first and then they are brilliant.
Same as NJ, no problems here.

Wife often borrows them instead of getting implants ☺☺☺
I was given some a few years ago. It took twice as long to poach the eggs so I threw them out (should have given them to Freecycle really but never mind)
Do you mean those little green things? If so I didn't get on too well with them either. I went back to the old fashioned metal poacher with a lid.

sorry i didn't get straight back to you all ,housework called ugh!.i put them in saucepan after greasing them and they filled with water and sank lol.thankyou for your answers xx
They must have a leak !!

There is no way they should sink unless you're using ostrich eggs !!
I find that they make the whites rubbery. I don't really eat the whites so I don't know why this bothers me.
I've been using two yellow silicone egg poachers for about two years now, with much success. I recently bought two more as occasionally I want to do four poached eggs at the same time. However, these new ones, although they look the same, have ten small holes in the bottom which I didn't notice when I bought them.
I've just used them for the first time and they were a disaster, the egg white started oozing out immediately, and then they filled with water and sank to the bottom of the pan. The eggs came out with watery whites and rock hard yolks, the ones done in the original poachers were, as usual, perfect.
I don't know if yours have holes in them, mallyh, but I'd they do I'd chuck them out and get some without holes.
Question Author
thankyou again for answers ,just checked them and no holes .i bought them from b and m .
Try putting them in a frying pan with a shallow layer of water. Test the depth first.
I've just bought two more, without holes, and reading the instructions it does say to use a sauté pan with a lid, and about one and a half inches of water, just as you suggest Tilly.
There you go mallyh, maybe that's your answer, shallow water. Can't see it working with these holey ones Ive got though.
