How do they get CORN OFF THE COB?????This has just crossed my mindhaving just eating some of the above.

Expect the factories who process it have equipment which strips it dow mechanically..   We lesser mortals at home have to hold it upright (preferably using a thick oven glove to avoid cutting our fingers off) and cut downwards, a strip at a time, using a sharp knife,   (and preferably catching all the individual corn pieces in a dish we've thoughtfully put underneath to stop them flying all over our grubby kitchen floors !!)
