...for your evening meal?
We're pushing the boat out and having baked beans on toasted cheese and jalapeño bagels, with shaved Parmesan on top, lots of pepper, and brown sauce for those who want it.
Stir fry - garlic, chilli and ginger quickly fried in oil, then veg thrown in, then finely sliced pork tenderloin. I made a sauce with a little honey, soy sauce, a spoonful of water and a bit of cornflour. All chucked together with some noodles - and very nice it was too
I've had potato skins with cheese n jalapeño for starters
Then a mini pizza with spinach and rocket salad
Then a coffee cream blue ribbon biscuit
I've had one big glass of wine and I'm hopping ric.ror minor will bring me a bottle - he's in aldi as I type
Got the recipe for venison with blueberry sauce from the venison farm shop where I bought the steaks. Last couple of times I've made a liquorice sauce which might sound a bit rank but is very nice.
We are also pushing the boat out a bit (lovely sunny day)because I went to the farm shop for bread and they had locally grown, just cut, asparagus at a very reasonable price as well as ditto courgettes and new potatoes still damp out of the ground from the farm which runs the shop. So that lot is accompanying salmon steaks (on offer locally) cooked en papillotte with herbs lemon and lots of butter. Spuds boiling as I type, so I can't be long. Looking forward to it. :o)
