What's For Dinner This Evening?

I know how popular these threads are with EVERYONE, so here goes..
We're having salmon, stir fry with hoisin sauce, and noodles.
Tomorrow we're having pizza and salad.
Saturday I'm pushing the boat out and we're having king prawn and avocado cocktail to start with, delias chicken basque for main, and home made syllabub for pud. No doubt copious amounts of cocktails, gin and wine will also be consumed. Oh, and some davidstow extra mature cheddar, and a tasty bit of Stilton if anyone has room, maybe a touch of gentleman so relish too, I do love a bit of that..

In something like that I really don't notice it's quorn mince, it takes on the flavour of everything else, I put loads of carrots, onions and peas in. The lentils just added more good stuff, they just about dissolved into it. You probably wouldn't like it that the topping was mashed sweet potato either ;)
Eve, I hope it goes down well and makes you feel better. How did the ginger beer in the microwave work out? Did it erupt?

We are having a dish that I copied from a M&S dish we had once. It's chicken fillets, battened out till flat, with an onion bhaji topping. I could make my own, but I just get a pack from Asda, mash them with a fork and add a bit of oil so they crisp up nicely in the oven, and spread it on the chicken. It's baked for about 15-20 mins and is yum yum yum
Ethandron - I quite often use sweet potato mash actually, or carrot and parsnip mash, which is really nice. I think it's something to do with the texture of quorn that I don't like, tried it a couple of times and OH and I both left half of it - unheard of in our house! Perhaps I over cooked it or something.
