Come to think about it JD, nor have I. When I was at junior school I remember buying a little bar of Toffee with a cow on, it was Mc something, can't remember the name. It was my favourite. I did also remember buying a 1/4 of Toffee crunch after school, mmmmm!

If you mean the sort of toffee where you need a hammer to break bits off, I doubt that any major supermarkets stock it (except perhaps as a Christmas novelty item) but specialist retailers will probably stock it or, of course, you can buy online (hammer included!):

I was thinking of bars in a wrapper like chocolate. I remember the trays of toffee in the shops which was broken by a hammer. My mother loved Brazil nut toffee. Banana toffee was my favourite.
