Lots of ways to cook it Sandy...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/sea_bass
^^^ I usually bake it in foil, Sandy, but it can also be pan-fried.
I cook it whole under the grill. Only takes a few minutes each side.
I've seen it in Lidl's but was put off because I didn't know how best to cook it. Might get some tomorrow.
I love trout baked in the oven in tinfoil with a bit of butter and some prawns. Make it into a parcel and butter the foil. 25 mins new pots green beans yum yum
Is it whole or fillets, Sandy?
^^^ Cleodog:
Trout cooks superbly in a microwave, resulting in really moist flesh. I actually prefer it cooked that way to baking it.
Fillets
I had one of Lidls advertising pamphlets that comes with the local paper but just can't see it at the minute
Buenchico thanks for that. I don't eat meat so fish makes up a big part of my diet. Have cooked fish in microwave before too ta
Sandy - fish is so much easier than people think.
Lidls...and Aldi's...always have seabass. With or without seasoned butter. A doddle to cook....about 4 minutes each side. Always lovely and moist.
I always do smoked cod in the micro, 6 minutes on half heat.
My microwave isn't even in my kitchen.

The only thing I cook in the micro is baked potatoes, other than that it's used to re-heat.

I couldn't imagine cooking fish in it.
I don't cook a thing in my microwave - just for reheating things
Halibut or turbot would be my choice.
If you don't want to go into town:-

Halibut or Turbot as NoM says. Personally, I like Plaice.
You can't beat a thick piece of cod, Imo.
I don't go for high grade just what I like.

Dourade is a current favourite.
I love Monks tails!
