I have just had two enormous doorsteps of toasted Cheshire Cheese with lashings of black pepper.

Carbohydrate, fat and salt, with a bit of protein thrown in. Not terribly healthy but utterly delicious!

What's your scrummy, fat laden snack?

Eccles...that sounds like something I would do...
I'll remember that tip.... must have been fun explaining that in A & E....

Ouch! I bet that hurt.

I just slice the cheese and place it on the bread.
I don't faff about with a saucepan and a spoon. Far too much trouble for me.

I have never had a properly done rarebit. Maybe I'm lazy. :-)
I thought I was going to read about myself in of periodic newspaper articles about the daft accidents people have. :-(
eccles, you don't by any chance have a sister called gness do you?

Hummus. I can eat a whole pot on a salad with a huge handful of mixed seeds and pine nuts on top and plenty of warm wholemeal pitta on the side.
cake
cheese
cake and cheese
mini sausages wrapped in bacon dipped in gravy....
mushrooms?
umm - attempting own mushy peas?, have you not been making them for 30 years or more like normal people?
Question Author
I didn't like to mention that to Ummmm, Randy. :-)
If it takes 30 years to make them, I don't have the time left.
don't you go rubbing your mushrooms up next to me, Mr.
No Randy. I thought they came ready made :-)

In reality I don't eat them enough to warrant it but when on holiday I had homemade fish, chips and mushy peas and they were delicious. So now I've started cooking my own battered fish I want to make my own peas (I cook lots of fish, just not battered)
Question Author
No cake for me, McFluff. That is one thing i don't eat.

Now, cheese and sausages.....that's another story.
Question Author
Ummmm, you'll find that your own, homemade mushy peas are not as green as the chips shop mushy peas. They will be a sort of greeny grey colour.
Yeah...that's what they were like on holiday but tasted much better.

I do like cooking my own food and then weigh up the pros and cons.
squeeze a bit of lemon juice in at the end (and use real butter), makes them much nicer

all this fat and i have a chicken/lentil and spinach curry, not a bit of fat in slight (other than me)

I WANT CAKE
I have a falafel salad for lunch, I had some crumpets for breakfast with home made marmalade.
Question Author
I'm out of falafel. Must get some.
Randy...you domestic goddess :-)
