I have cooked those potatoes Mamy - but I don't like rosemary so omitted that and used cream instead of milk- they were to die for.

My mouth's watering reading these posts - chips with roast beef and gravy for us tonight !

When I was a new mum, 100 years ago, I walked to the shops pushing my new baby on the pram. The chippie was open and I very daringly went in and bought chips and beef in gravy, couldn't get home quick enough to scoff it down. I've never had a chippie meal to beat it.
