I've got a couple of salmon steaks for supper, which I was going to do with some new spuds and veg.

Fancy tarting them up a bit! Any suggestions?

Make a sweet chilli sauce?
I cover mine in piri piri sauce but that`s because I like everything hot. Soy sauce with honey is quite nice too.
I like to keep the fish quite plain so I'd add something as a side. What goes really nice is a finely chopped salad which you can spice up as much as you want.
i like lots of flavour so i would go with making a tikka paste up and marinate in that or teriyake
Spread mayo on them and grill. Comes out really tasty.
If you have a few prawns, all the better.
A hollandaise, salsa verde, sauce vierge or a spicy tomato salsa with fresh herbs?
an Asian lime and cilantro sauce perhaps on grilled or baked salmon? Easy to make.
I marinate mine in soy, chilli, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Panfry in coconut oil. Make a salsa using the same ingredients plus finely chopped tomatoes and red onion or shallots.
Large dollop of tarragon mayo on the side.....mind you, I do have a large tarragon plant basking in the sunshine in the back garden!

Some nice ideas there for the future, thanks folks. Unfortunately, I am too lazy to walk to the supermarket for ingredients I may not have.

I do however have all of the ingredients for Salmon a la Nage. That'll do.

I'll take a bow :-)
Grass...I have all those ingredients in my house bar the mussels..
I am impressed with you too then Ummmm
I would be minus the mussels and no fish stock in the freezer.....a visit to Barnsley last night, supper-wise....!
