Bought a quiche yesterday for today so put it in the fridge and realised this morning that the use by date says 15 Oct. Will it be fine to cook and eat today?

"Best before" date means if you use the product after the date shown then the quality may suffer i.e. taste etc. and therefore the choice is yours but you will not be endangering your health..
Sorry I posted the last answer before I had completed it! I meant to go on to say that the "best before" theory given does not necessarily apply especially to frozen prawns!! Had a bag the other day two weeks past "best before" date and they were off!! This is always a difficult one but I say if in doubt throw it out!!!
