yes, very happy with it, I am on my third....top of the range panasonic....over around 25 years...got new one last year. First one was an american import which ran off a stepdown transformer the size of 4 housebricks
To be honest, mine is sitting in the corner of the kitchen, completely ignored these days. Yes, it makes great bread, but not a huge loaf and gets eaten in about 10 mins.
A gadget that was fun when I first bought it about 10 years ago.
I make the medium loaf which lasts a couple of days..great to experiment with various additions though... cheese and onion...walnut and date..cinnamon and apple... whatever takes your fancy !
Got one, unused after the novelty had worn off. The ingredients cost a lot more than a fresh loaf from the baker up the road. It takes about 5 hours to make a 1/2 size loaf.
Depends what sort of bread you like. We buy the organic wholemeal flour and dried yeast in bulk. Putting the ingredients into the pan takes 5 or 10 minutes and the programme takes 4 hours, but the [large] loaf is ready in the morning. Cheaper than buying bread I think. You need to follow the recipe carefully to start with to get the best results.
I have one, used to use it regularly, but these days my woman likes to bake me a loaf each week, so mine sits on the cupboard shelf.
They're good. Not perfect, but you can add whatever extra ingredients you like. Presently have an onion loaf. Have had garlic, cheese, tomato, olive, fruit, to name just a few.
Would not be without mine . I don't make bread every day .as long as you put measured ingredients in it should not be a problem but I did find that if I put just a little extra dry yeast in it rises more .
Thanks everyone for your comments. I think I will treat myself to one. Maybe a Panasonic, looks like having a delay timer is a good idea. Now the search on Amazon !
Ah the paddle. That's the bit that's a little irksome. Surely they could design a slightly bigger version and the mechanism to lift the paddle out before baking.
