I've just realised we've not had a meal based around meat or fish for almost a week, completely non intentionally. Just had a veg stir fry with some added cannellini beans, would usually have had it with some sort of meat or probably fresh salmon.
Can't say the same for alcohol though..

M&S Chinese meal deal and a bottle of prosecco OG, very comforting ;)
Certainly not going to be meat-free this weekend, ( Spag. Bol. Sat. and roast pork loin Sun..) but we eat several meat-free meals a week usually - without thinking about it. Fish this evening, and an omelette will figure somewhere every week (cheese& onion is a favourite). There may be a pasta, broccoli and cheese bake as well.
'Fraid alcohol is a 'gimme' every evening meal. :)
Buy a chicken? Eat the legs and make a stew out of the rest. Alcohol: carry on as before :)
All my meals are either meat or fish based. I don't think I have ever produced a meal that was neither one or the other.

I used to be like that Tilley, a case of what shall we have with pork/lamb/chicken/fish if some description. These days I just feel differently about meat, and fish, and really enjoy some vegetarian stuff. I'd never go vegetarian though as I love a bacon butty too much. And black pud. And chicken. And turkey. And steak..
Only meal I have without either meat or fish is a mushroom risotto,
