Well, the contents, not the metal bits. Obviously..
At this time of year I think many of us need to make space. Tonight we've just had some quorn chilli and a thingy of rice, and some garlic bread, so that's left a few holes which can now be filled.
I think there's a few other bits and bobs which we can munch our way through over the next week, possibly a bit uninteresting though. Have you got any interesting/dull stuff which you'll be dining on to make space for Christmas?
I'm slowly emptying the garage freezer and decanting frozen stuff from the kitchen freezer into it. That way, all my Christmas stuff will be in the kitchen freezer, ready to hand.
no my ff is stuffed full, with loads of chicken, lamb, pork
but as i am on my own mostly i break the package down into
single items making the most of the ff. I am cooking for a friend tomorrow night so will make a bit of space in the fridge part,
We have a large freezer in the utility room, and a fridge freezer in the kitchen. There's only the two of us, we're not hosting Christmas, but both are stuffed full. Ok, so there's two boxes of things which will be taken to the Christmas Day venue but I have no idea why I need more space. Can't even blame it on ice cream 'cos there isn't any.
I just had a couple of UFOs (unidentified freezer objects) for tea.
Turned out to be a very tasty home-made curry (probably turkey, but who knows?) and a rather less exciting slurry which I think used to be bombay potato before it was frozen. Glass of PG from my Majestic lucky dip case - excellent.
Thought it was only me who did this. Last week when I removed a cm thick slab of ice from under the vegetable box, I decided to defrost the freezer. It was amazing how much more space I had in there. Two 'pork chops' removed for the following evening, except when thawed they were a pork chop and a piece of swordfish. Currently the question What do you fancy to eat tonight? is met with Something big.
