A pudding, from the 80's (?) and it was a jam and sponge mix, that you put in the oven. You put the sponge in a dish then put the jam in on top, and during the cooking process in the oven, it turned the other wayround? ie, jam on bottom and sponge on top.

Driving me bonkers is this vague memory of it!

Have just found two other questions about Saucy Sponge on AnswerBank. One's titled 'Saucy Sponge' and the other is 'Cake Mix', although I still can't find who actually made Saucy Sponge. You've really got me thinking now!

It was definitely called Saucy Sponge, this is how me and Mr Jules got together, (without going into anymore details as it isn't as interesting as it sounds!)
