What can I put in my G&T to make it more interesting? I do like a wedge of lime and sometimes a knob of root ginger, but I would like to hear some other ideas....

Any recommendations or recipes welcome.

Thanking you.

it must be the poor orphans still having to work in the Ginnery ?
Ginger ale makes most gin very drinkable, try adding a splash of good quality cordial helps too

I have just ordered Buss Persian Peach Gin online.
You've not taken heed of the mocking warning have you, Polly.

APG, you really are tragic. Any ridiculous comments you make to me are just water off a duck's back...

Love the way these discussions go from friendly chat to insults in a couple of posts. Anyway, how about gin & It, so 75/25 with a dry vermouth for a herby kick?
Try more botanical gin with less emphasis on the juniper. Botanist or caroun are worth trying

I like a really strong ginny taste and having partaken of loads of craft, fancy, special, etc., ones, I always come back to my three favourites...Tanqueray, Bathtub and plain old Gordon’s. I also really like GinGold but it’s difficult to get hold of in the UK.
I prefer my G&T with the juice of half a lime squeezed in topped up with slimline tonic, everything chilled but no ice.
The only time I’d do gin differently is in an English Garden cocktail..gin, apple juice (preferably fresh or at least cloudy) and elderflower liqueur or cordial.

Well, we'll see who gets banned first then shall we....
Anyway, LC....I can't abide gin. Had a bottle for an age in the UK so I decided to experiment with it. It was just turning delicious when we sold the house and couldn't go to collect it. I hope the new owners enjoyed it as much as we had planned to do.... :-(

Thanks, DrM, but I don't like Vermouth particularly. My mother does, so a good suggestion for her.
Ladycg I know we don’t agree but have a try of the 2 mentioned above.
I have a whole list of non Ginny gins if you are interested.

Oh that's a shame, Gness. I went through of phase of not being able to drink spirits but since Gin has become an artform, I've enjoyed drinking it again.

I don't actually mind a ginny gin. Gordon's is the only one I really don't like.

I love Martin Miller Gin, Whitley Neill Quince Gin, Bombay and Opihr.
Only ever tried 'Mother's Ruin' once and thought it tasted like rainwater. Mind you, i'm not a fan of any 'colourless' liquor.
Good God Lcg just asked for recipes ! Why the bile of some?
