Jenny, do you mean that you feel you shouldn't eat it? If so, then it's not something to fel guilty about if it's not very often. Why not simply avoid pies?
ILM - I know now that I should have given it to birds but as I said in another post - I did leave cake and bread but it was never touched so I figured they didn't like it.
Do you mean you feel guilty about throwing the extra pastry left over away? No need for that you can freeze it. Or do you mean you cook the pies then feel guilty about eating the pastry and so throw the pastry part of the pie away? If that is the case why make the blinking things in the first place? Why feel guilty about eating a portion of pastry two or three times a year? You're not a supermodel are you? and unless you are gluten intolerant what harm could it possiblly do?
