I still like the odd Jam sandwich even to this day since I was a kid. But not today it was Strawberry jam on crumpets for breakfast.

Obviously you are in the hate it side of the fence RH, I love the stuff, it goes on bread, in baked beans, in casseroles or sometimes just gets licked from a spoon. My favourite way of eating it though comes from my childhood... In a sandwich with cos lettuce.

Well, if I can't have complicated sausages, Marmite will do, I suppose.

Try toasting the bread first, on one side, in the grill ; then slap on the butter and jam

Or slap on the butter and jam first then toast it on one side .
Then top it up with some more butter and jam
