Is it like a sausage?

A bit like faggots.  Nothing like a sausage

Tastes yummy.

I usually get mine from M and S...made by Mcsweens. This year I've bought Mcsweens ...but from Sainsbury's. I've not had it yet...probably tomorrow as last night I took meat from the freezer for today.

Simon Howie Original Haggis In Bag(at Sainsbury's) £2.75

Pork Lungs (26%),

Oatmeal,

Water,

Beef Fat (13%),

Beef Liver (10%),

Lamb Lungs (7%),

Beef Heart (5%),

Dried Onion,

Pearl Barley,

Salt,Spices (Black Pepper, Pimento),

Still want to eat it?
I make no comment!

I tried to add one to my Sainsbury’s click and collect for Tuesday, but although they're showing on Sainsbury's website, you can't actually put them in your 'basket' when you do an online shop. Maybe your Sainsbury will have them though, Sandy.

I really like them too, they have a bit of a unique taste, if you like liver and black pud then I think you'd enjoy it. Best try it and see for yourself 😋

Come on now NoseyNose, people put stranger things in their mouths every day.

It's delicious.

it's offal 😂

It's offal!

snap davebro!

It's offaly good 😋

Offal is good for you. Things like haggis and black pudding originate from a time when nothing was wasted. Though I'll admit that chicken liver is the only one I'd willingly eat on its own...even better as pate.

I didn't say it wasn't good.I just didn't want to comment, one way or the other! LOL

When I was very young I went to a village school and there was an abbattoir nearby. There would be buckets of offal outside ,waithing for the local pig farmer to collect. That put me off offal.

Like a kiss from your secret lover

//from a time when nothing was wasted//

I haven't tried pig's trotters yet!

^^true davebro3, Not wasted because they threw it to the pigs.

My dad...from South Carolina...used to eat pickled pigs feet. I liked them too. That was a million years ago. 😆

Haggis (Scottish Gaelic: taigeis) is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach though now an artificial casing is often used instead.

I love haggis but there are many other "delicacies" that I have not tried eg tripe and pigs trotters. Never say never.

How can one post regularly on Answerbank and say they've never sampled tripe, Maggie? 😄

Haggis tastes delicious.
