Main course. Rarely have a starter and don't always fancy/have room for a dessert. We usually choose tha main course the day before and have a dessert if we fancy one.

Starter - Garlic Prawns (or any sort or prawns really)

MC - calves Liver with sauté potatoes and fresh veg

Dessert - not sure I'd have much room so probably eton mess

I love it all!

Calamari to start

Main depending on what type of restaurant but will be something meaty

And for pud, any chocolatey gateau!!

Dessert, then starter, then main.

And it has to be chocolate.  Brownie (warm) or ice cream (cold)...

Prawn cocktail.

Steak, chips, tomatoes, mushrooms & onion rings.

Raspberry Pavlova.

Starters over desserts every time.

Once went to a restaurant and after about 15 mins we looked at each other and said 'haven't got past the starters yet!'

We finished up having 8 out of the 9 starters as our complete meal - delightful.

No favourite go to meal, I'll eat anything (except snails!).

Main and occasionally a dessert, never have a starter.

Meant to have said, rarely have a starter or dessert these days, but I would pick a dessert over starter if I had room. 😀

I prefer smaller meals, so if I had a choice, I'd have a starter, then I'd still peckish I'd have another starter lol, and then a desert if I fancied something sweet.

Main course only.

Can only ever manage main course.  If we go out for an Indian meal we usually share so that we can have a side dish as well.

Whitebait

Lambs liver and onions, tons of gravy, mashed potatoes carrots, sprouts and peas.

Profiteroles (my record is 32 in one sitting at a friends wedding!)

Starter and main. I usually have a cocktail for dessert 😁

1.  The cocktail prior to the food (rather partial to a pisco sour)

2.  Calamari or whitebait, fillet steak or fish, cheese and biscuits

Starter and main for me, and it's always seafood...whether a seafood only restaurant, Greek, or Japanese. Though the latter isn't usually divided into courses...its about 6-8 different platters on the table that we all eat from.

I can make a meal out of starters quite easily.
