does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

I've been moving dust about and making a space for my squatty little tree. Once that goes up (along with cards and random xmas bits and bobs), all dust stays put until new year. Well that's the rule according to Robi but please feel free to make up your own.
I don't need men to be wise these day, ornamental will do nicely. If I want to know anything I've got google :)

I stayed at home today and have got the tree I and decorated, and the outside patio one done! So all done now except for tweaking. Insist and look and then something isnt right so I tweak and add baubles! I bought lametta but it looked awful so I chucked it. Has taken me over half and hour to get the new gas fire to ignite. Bluddy thing we bought a new one cos the old one took forever!! Amnstill.waiting for the computer man to come and connect my printer as there is no way either of us can do it!! Its stormy again now.
Morning all
It's a frosty one out there.
It was called Knives Out ,Woofy. A sort of whodunit spoof. Some of it was amusing but not rofl amusing.

Good morning each....bitterly cold, it's breezier today. The world was all pink first thing, it's made the news in some areas.
Neti, we always get the gist.....haven't you got a spare gas fire in the wardrobe any more? :)
That doesn't sound like my kind of film shaney, no Clive Owen :( and I'm not keen on Daniel Craig, he does nowt for me I'm afraid.

been out to a partiette at a craft shop run by a friend. Very nice, though it's increasingly hard to hold conversations when you can't hear anyone more than a couple of feet away. Its's the leg cramps - the quinine tablets I take for it make tinnitus much worse. The local election candidate was there, taking a short break from campaigning, and looking on the bright side said he thought he'd have a new party leader soon, so I wished him well.
Afternoon all...what a miz day, wild, wet and windy.
Ding dong merrily....no, that's not tinnitus ringing, I've put my little tree up but I won't be doing fresh greenery from the garden for a while. I'll have to got ferreting about in the freezing shed to see if I've got any oasis, I knew I should have looked in August, tut. :)
Mr Kipling cakes are only two bites big now....and don't get me started on kit kats. Have a break? I've eaten it before I've even sat down.

Now now Robi dont go knocking my xmas cake, it's all I'll get as I dont really like it so 2 mouthfuls will be fine with a cuppa. I've just had a fancy for "plum cake" ( as The Spanish call it) for months now. We used to be able to buy individually wrapped slices and buy by weight but that also seems to have disappeared!
Stew was very nice with nice fluffy dumplings which Mr N complimented me on. We dont get suet here so I bung in a load of baking powder, it works a treat! Now I've got indigestion cos if the onions..bah!!

hello all. Neti, I used to make dumplings in america by grating frozen butter as suet wasn't available. I made suet pastry the same way...and yes no self raising flour so toss in the baking powder. Its been drizzley here but nowhere near as bad as forecast. Nothing mmuch else to report here. I am enjoying binge watching The West Wing. How did I miss it first time around?
