does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

And if course the Belen which is the Nativity scene. Mr N made me a stable. The onenSpanish xmas thing I do not have is the caigoner. He squats and does a poo! No idea why but it us traditional over here but not in my house!!!
Corrections - it is a Caganer and only in Catalunya which includes the Baleares!

If I have a tree its a fake small one stood on a table. I have had them outdoors but we have had a few windy winters and had to keep standing the blessed thing up again.
Shaney am halfway through the crown. I dont know if its the actors but I have lost sympathy for the queen and duke. The Queen doesnt seem to have much of a clue what is going on!
Good a'noon from a very dark 'n dreary Derby. If I wasn't on cat duty I think I'd take my cuppa and cadbury's chocolate fingers (my current craze) upstairs and disappear under the duvet.
I've been doing my best to catch up and I'm so sorry your OH's still suffering jno. Also best wishes to any of you or family members who aren't well and sorry for any losses you've had. We lost our oldest surviving aunt several weeks ago so that leaves me third from the top of the tree which is a sobering thought. About a dozen more below me. Well, that's on my dad's side, there could be relatives we don't know of on mum's side but that family was complicated and scattered.

I've had a quick look round the site....nowt's changed. Still the same old, same old....sub categories deserted....and no laughs to be found. Oh dear.

.....goes into wavy sepia mode and dreams of ye olden dayes of the old format and American Ed. Buzzzzzzzzzzz.... :)
Hello Robi. Very windy here but sunny. I am feeling much better but still not 100%. Still got sore throat
As for my 'preferente ' hospital appointment well I give up.
They're going to change to Imelda Staunton for the next series Neti.
I enjoyed it but of course you can't have the same actors as they age.
Grey dull day here too and it's been raining.
Yes ,the Christmas card list gets sadly ever shorter Robinia :(
Hope you're all ok though.
Oh no not imelda Staunton, she looks nothing like the queen. Imelda has very high cheekbones . I am getting used to Olivia now and she does look more like the Queen.

I am third too Robi and the other two are my sisters :(
I've got older cousins as my parents didn't marry till after the wr while their siblings married before or during. But some of them have already gone, and all the older generation have. I think I'm about #5 on the list and my own younger siblings are looking a lot fitter and healthier than me, so I'm not sure I'll ever be number one with a bullet.

Dark, dank, damp, dismal and dreary down here. I shall have to go out to CostCo sometime, though.

Went to our Geman neighbours' Christmas bring and buy last night - lots of red wine, donated dozens of DVDs and bought a keyboard. Thigs that don't sell get taken to one of the many charity shops around here; those that do sell, the money goes to our hosts' chosen charity.
I'm third in line too in the immediate family. All my aunts and uncles are gone but there are a lot of cousins floating around mostly much older than me and some of those are probably gone now .I did meet up again with a few at my SiL's funeral which was four years ago now. Tempus Fugit and how.
There is one who's the same age as me but she's a pain in the backside and only rings me from time to time to moan at how badly off and poorly she is which is totally untrue as my aunt left her very well off, and she's a hypochondriac to boot. She can gas for England and I could go and have a three course meal and she would still be rambling on when I got back to the phone.
Dull and dreary here but at least it's dry.
Good afternoon and a glorious one it's been too.......not.
I try not to dwell on the order of the family tree, things don't always happen as expected.... and, when it comes to maturity, I'm probably near the bottom anyway. :) Just a big kid really.
I've been doing a bit of this and that, here and there, and trying to avoid getting too warm and comfortable, I'll only fall asleep.
Anyone watching Strictly? I can't say I'm as keen as I used to be but it's something bright and sparkly on a dark night. I could never remember all those steps.
What about Ethan in Casualty neti? Oh nooo... but apparently he's not going forever. I don't watch as much tv as I used to really, I say I'll catch up but forget to. I must catch up with Gold Digger before Tues tho'.

The whole series is on the BBC IPlayer ,Robinia.
You can binge watch it :) I watched it over 2x3 episodes. It was very good but I still think he's a gold digger.
PS. It made me think that because right at the very end ,watch his face as he looks out of the window in the bedroom of that fabulous house. I wonder if there will be another series.
I'm sixth in the immediate family!
I havent seen last nights Casualty yet Robi but Ethan was annoying me with his love sick attitude hes become a wimp!
I'd forgotten about Gold Digger will have to download it.
Yes am watching Strictly but what a mess last nights was too. I get the elimination results early so dont bother to watch on Sunday.
Feel a bit better but still got sore throat!
Spent hours trying to connect my new printer to wifi but nothing seems to work
The dvd supplied doesnt work and computer cant find a driver. Am fed up!
Hello. Shaney I did enjoy the Crown and even like Olivia Coleman in the end. I thought Princess Margaret was portrayed marvelously!
Well I've been cleaning and washing everything inside and out, but am now a bit tired.
Still cannot sort my printer or laptop out. Why cant things be simple? Until recently I was very up to date with all things tech
but this has stymied me!
Lovely weather here!
Well I beggared up my internet and had to call my supplier to reconnect me! I'll give up with printer now and get a man in!
Afternoon all
That's a b Neti. Best to get someone to do it for you.I've often tried to do stuff and then had to get Picky to put all my mess ups right.
Dull and dreary yet again and drizzling on and off.I want crisp dry sunny autumn days not this constant mizz.
Hope you're all ok though. No excitement here unless excitement is having to unblock that damn drain at the side yet again .Choked up with leaves. It needs a cover but I can't find one to fit .
A'noon all.
Get a man in? Oh yes, that sounds like a good idea :)
I'm thoroughly peed off with the endless rain and darkness too shaney. The leaves have been too wet and heavy all autumn to blow as far as my drain. I know what you mean about covers, one windy season I put chicken wire over it to stop them falling in (it's quite deep).
Reluctant as I is to do anything xmas I'm starting to think that putting the tree and lights up might be the only way to brighten the place up a bit. In fact I might do it National Lampoons Christmas Vacation style, the neighbours will think I've completely lost it :)
