does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Jno could it have been a white tailed sea eagle? They were reintroduced to the Isle of Wight last year

Apparently one has settled in Oxfordshire.
I had a FaceTime call from the mini Tarquins yesterday.
Me "What did you do today?"
Them "Got told off"
hahaha...I love 'em.

that might be it, Robinia, if they look like that. I've tried googling around but all the photos I can find show them with much darker heads

The one in the neighbour's photo definitely had a white head, even at a distance.

We need Cetti on the case. Sometimes birds look different silhouetted against the sky. An escapee? Red kite? I didn't realise how big they are. Take your pick

I looked up the Forestry England site the Guardian got its photo from and it said their heads sometimes get lighter with age. So perhaps it was old and lost and wandering around north London like me.
The photo was against a bright blue sky with the body very dark and the head very white, but being a phone I don't know what it was focusing on, which can affect lightness and darkness..

Hello folks how are you all coping?
You both feeling better now woofy and Robi?
We are just plodding on. Mr N spent nearly all day in the kitchen and he made a ginger, fate and walnut cake first ever and very enjoyable. He made Jamie Oliver fried wraps for dinner which I enjoyed and also a biriani for tomorrow. Suits me!
Shaney how is your brother coping? On his own?

Evening all
I've found a cure for my TATT.
Metatone tonic.I'm bouncing off the walls :)
Hope you're all ok.Plodding on here too.
My brother is OK Neti.Thank you for asking.
He's a bit bored but has been out in his workshop doing some wood turning and his youngest daughter goes round now and again and he sits in his conservatory and she sits up the garden at a safe distance. She brings her own coffee in a flask and they have a chat. We take turns in phoning each daily other along with my other brother.
My niece told me it's more of a shouting match than a chat as he can't hear too well at that distance even with his hearing aid up full blast. She said that in the end she told him to get his phone and they sat there in the garden on their phones.Wish I could have seen that.I told her to get a megaphone.
Not much to report otherwise.
Stay safe folks.

Morning all...looks like it's warming up. I felt a bit dizzy and earachey last night, hopefully just a change in weather.
Emotionally I have slumps/mini panics and apart from checking Derby numbers I avoided all news yesterday. I wish I could get a grocery delivery, that would be a help. Apparently I'm not a great enough health risk for Sainsbury's and the other supermarkets are all booked up. I'll just have to risk the local shops.
Hopefully we'll have some time in our gardens this coming week. Keep a look out for low flying pterodactyls.
