it used to be red for meat blue for fish green for veg don't know if thats changed

the choice is yours! as long as you remember whats what.

when is the last time you saw a red, green or blue chopping board??

you could write/mark with nail varnish along the edges or corner - it should last

It's worth investing in a good quality wooden chopping board. As most food poisoning is caused by cross contamination, whatever type of board you use should be well cleaned after each use

I work in a small cafe and you are to use a green for fruit and veg, yellow for cooked meat, red for raw meat and white for bakery.

The choice is yours but there a lot of people are following a standard guide which is widely accepted now,. There's plenty of info on the colour-coded system and other things like cross contamination and general chopping board care at http://www.choppingboards.org.uk
