A friend just announced that best banana she ever had was a pink one. Once we had picked ourselves up off the floor she told us that it is a fruit. Anybody care to expand?

seen them in morrisons the other day it discribed them as softer and sweeter tasting than yellow ones their sort of beetroot coulored red,

Yep - they're delicious. Smaller than normal bananas, a bit 'starchier' , quite sweet and fragrant. Lovely.!

apparently the larger marks and spencers food stores are supposed to have them too though i haven't seeen them but read that in a mag this morning. Something about they got more nutirents in them too cos as with most fruit the good bit is just under the skin well apparently the goodness goes a bit deeper in the red ones than the normal yellow ones. I am just telling you what i read in dentist waiting room this morning

Well, I should like to thank everyone for being admirably sensible in your answers, something we didn't quite manage in the office this morning. I shall look out for them next time I am in Morrisons.
