how do I microwave corn on the cob ?

In a microwaveable bowl - very small amount of water about 15ml - loose cover then high power (based on 850w) for about 6 mins works for me.

Given that you only need 5 minutes in boiling water on the hob, I'm not sure of the point of microwaving when the result would be inferior anyway ?

Not sure what size cobs you cook but 5 mins on my hob makes them virtually raw. No inferiority complex in terms of taste to me either.

Leave them in the outer leaves. Put them in a plastic bag. When they are done, the leaves and the silks/strings come right off.
