I'm a meat eater, and admit to trying not to think about the whole process, and in a way prefer the way I can just pick up a packaged joint of meat in a shop and not have to give much thought to where it's come from.
However I know that's what they're trying to get at - they want us to understand where the meat we eat has come from. I do think it's important, and hope it gets people to respect what we're eating.

Missed the cow programme but saw the lamb one last night. Now I would hope that all slaughter houses work to the same standards but I just found the whole set up artificial.
Who is that male presenter who looks like he has a bad smell under his noise?
Why don't they do a similar series for vegetables?
Anyway, looking forward to the pigs programme tonight to see how they manage to turn it into cured bacon and ham in 5 minutes.
