drunk or sober?

I heard a saying on tv the other night and thought it was so true, but i cant remember it exactly.

its something about the words spoken when drunk are what a sober person really means. or something like that.

does anyone know the proper version?

nope , but i think that is true i always tell my mates exactly what i think of them when ive had a few , i think ur true feelings always come out coz ur not as guarded
