Creamola Foam - Anyone else miss it ???
255 Answers
Does anyone else miss Creamola Foam as much as me ? It was discontinued in 1998 due to " the high cost of production and low level of sales " ( so say nestle ) but i'm interested to know if people DO still like this drink and would welcome the return of it.

Somehow I can't see it returning unless they make a ready to drink variety because nowadays the kids would have to buy a bottle of water to mix it with!
I loved Creamola Foma and would love to see it's return. I totally agree with the hangover theory - it def works. One hangover morning, I desperately searched the shelves of the Spar (who always sold it), but there was none and that was the end of that. I have never came accross another drink I have craved as much as CF when suffering a hangover - nothing compares.
I don't suffer from so many hangovers now, due to having kids around, but it would still be great to let the kids see what all my moaning is about and try it for themselves (and have some spare left over for the occassional hangover, of course). I cannot forget about this drink - ever. I need it back. We all need to stand together to get this drink back and get it back pronto!
Absolutely loved the stuff !!!
S'funny.. I juat had a craving for some about 10mins ago and thought to myself.... "I wonder if they still make it" and come did a google search.
I know if anyone began to make the stuff again and merchadised it well it would go down a treat with kids today !!!

hi
there is already a petition at http://www.PetitionOnline.com/cremola/petition.html
maybe if we all sign it, we'll get that wonderful creamola foam back
My sister got this snippet from Scottish newspaper site:
-----------------------------------
The three Creamola brands, Creamola Foam, Custard and Rice, were bought by the Brands Partnership, from the international foods giant Nestl in 1998. Brands Partnership, a Leeds-based dried foods firm, was keen to market Creamola Custard and bought the series of brands from Nestl.
But in their enthusiasm to get their hands on the custard, the company did not acquire the formula for the fizzy drink, which was made by adding a sherbet-like powder to cold water and stirring frenetically while the drink foamed. The company no longer knows what that magic powder contained.
Nestl says that since it sold the rights to the brand, the whereabouts of the formula is not a matter for the company. While the formula is lost in corporate limbo, the only hope is for someone to come forward with a tin of the original product.
A Brands Partnership spokeswoman said: "We have had a number of inquiries about bringing back Creamola Foam, mainly from Scotland, where we understand it was very popular, but we dont plan at this stage to bring it back.

Here's a link for those who would like to see the original packaging or would like a trip down memory lane!
http://www.cremolafoam.co.uk/ingredients.htm
Spelling Note: The site heading displays "CREMOLA FOAM" while the pics show "CREAMOLA FOAM" on the packaging!
I'm told that some website or other states that both spellings are correct so I can only assume that both were used on the packaging, although why, I couldn't say!
Perhaps it was regional.
I just remember "CREMOLA FOAM" as being the definitive spelling in my memory!
sorry, full ingredients then?
