Does anyone else miss Creamola Foam as much as me ? It was discontinued in 1998 due to " the high cost of production and low level of sales " ( so say nestle ) but i'm interested to know if people DO still like this drink and would welcome the return of it.

Creamola foam was great. But what about Creamola Custard. My mother-in-law (age 83) has a hankering for this but she cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can buy it in Scotland?
I'm another of the many who would welcome the return of creamola foam, I still remember the first time I tasted it, must have been around eight years old and thirsty at the time as I loved it from the start, There were four kids in the family including myself so it wasn't long before we were rationed to one teaspoonful per glass, anyway, it was always a favourite drink of mine right up until it was discontinued,it was particularly acceptable for me as I was prone to heartburn and couldn't take many other drinks including beer,I even took a vacuum flask full to work, mixed with cold water and a few ice cubes there was nothing better for quenching a thirst on a hot day. Somehow I can't see it returning unless they make a ready to drink variety because nowadays the kids would have to buy a bottle of water to mix it with!
I am only 18 and loved cremola foam, my partner is 26 and has no idea what it is!!! Shocking!! BRING IT BACK!!!
I loved Creamola Foma and would love to see it's return. I totally agree with the hangover theory - it def works. One hangover morning, I desperately searched the shelves of the Spar (who always sold it), but there was none and that was the end of that. I have never came accross another drink I have craved as much as CF when suffering a hangover - nothing compares. I don't suffer from so many hangovers now, due to having kids around, but it would still be great to let the kids see what all my moaning is about and try it for themselves (and have some spare left over for the occassional hangover, of course). I cannot forget about this drink - ever. I need it back. We all need to stand together to get this drink back and get it back pronto!
Creamola Foam! I had totally forgotten about that! Thanks so much for reminding me!
Absolutely loved the stuff !!! S'funny.. I juat had a craving for some about 10mins ago and thought to myself.... "I wonder if they still make it" and come did a google search. I know if anyone began to make the stuff again and merchadised it well it would go down a treat with kids today !!! Paul (Dorset)
I miss it!! I have been contacting nestle. My sister used to send it all over the world for me when I was away working, my kids loved it when they were little. Start a petition -that's what I say
hi there is already a petition at http://www.PetitionOnline.com/cremola/petition.html maybe if we all sign it, we'll get that wonderful creamola foam back
What's going on in this thread?? It wasn't until post 61 that I saw anyone spelling it "Cremola" instead of "Creamola"! It was "Cremola Foam" wasn't it, or am I dreaming? As I recall, "Cremola Foam" came in a tiny can similar to the "Andrew's Liver Salts" can and was definetly spelled "Cremola"!
We love it and wish we could find some, we've searched everywhere. The last time we found some was in Guernsey in the Channel Islands in about 1985 in a shop called Aladins Cave. All my family loved Creamola, when going down memory lane Creamola is never forgotten. Bring it back! :-)
My sister got this snippet from Scottish newspaper site: ----------------------------------- The three Creamola brands, Creamola Foam, Custard and Rice, were bought by the Brands Partnership, from the international foods giant Nestl in 1998. Brands Partnership, a Leeds-based dried foods firm, was keen to market Creamola Custard and bought the series of brands from Nestl. But in their enthusiasm to get their hands on the custard, the company did not acquire the formula for the fizzy drink, which was made by adding a sherbet-like powder to cold water and stirring frenetically while the drink foamed. The company no longer knows what that magic powder contained. Nestl says that since it sold the rights to the brand, the whereabouts of the formula is not a matter for the company. While the formula is lost in corporate limbo, the only hope is for someone to come forward with a tin of the original product. A Brands Partnership spokeswoman said: "We have had a number of inquiries about bringing back Creamola Foam, mainly from Scotland, where we understand it was very popular, but we dont plan at this stage to bring it back. ----------------------------------- Here's a link for those who would like to see the original packaging or would like a trip down memory lane! http://www.cremolafoam.co.uk/ingredients.htm Spelling Note: The site heading displays "CREMOLA FOAM" while the pics show "CREAMOLA FOAM" on the packaging! I'm told that some website or other states that both spellings are correct so I can only assume that both were used on the packaging, although why, I couldn't say! Perhaps it was regional. I just remember "CREMOLA FOAM" as being the definitive spelling in my memory!
Yes, Both myself and my son miss this item very much. Why was it so expensive to produce. I am sure if this were brought on to the market again, it could be re-introduced.
F**king right.i have been talking about e stuff for monthes now.was totally craving it when i was pregnant.....and obviously couldnt buy it anywhere.there isnt even a substitute for it.surely a company should start making it again.id buy a tin everyday.

All hail the mighty foam! So many of my friends agree with me that it should be brought back. If you don't mind it being a little hard and needing ground, you might be able to find the odd can tucked away in a corner shop storeroom. If you don't ask, you don't get. Good luck!
