I imagine a lot depends on where you live, i live on the coast ,there are fishermans huts on the seafront which have a shop thats open to the public to buy fresh caught fish each day.
Fasttimes,

Did you mean via the net? Internet that is not fishnet, otherwise as suggested above you will have to go the boat surely?
Lorri's answer is your best bet. At commercial fishing ports, they aren't allowed to sell direct from the boat to the public.
If you're on holiday, The Maldives.
Should you happen to be on the beautiful sunny Isle of Skye we could provide brown crab, langoustines, velvet crab and shrimp with the occasional by catch of scallops, ling, cod, conger eel and mackerel - all straight from the boat - Have I tempted you??
You'll be lucky!!! heathfield is right.....I know from experience that fish wharves at ports may have shops selling fish but what is on sale to the public has been brought-in from elsewhere........It's ridiculous to think that fish landed say at Milford Haven is sent to London and returned to Swansea for sale in a quayside shop adjacent to the Fishmarket......Ron.

Do you have a spare room :-)
A spare settee would do.

Hubby and I went to Venice for our honeymoon for the fish restaurants. Others go there for the history, the architecture or the romance, we just luuurrve fish.
