I have just been really unhealthy as my better half is out and I'm far too lay to look after myself! Had an instant cottage pie, and it said to cook it on full power for 5 mins, then defrost for 6!?
Why cook and then defrost? Would it make much difference if I defrosted it and then cooked it?
Didnt taste too bad with some cheese grated on top and all mixed up into mince/mash sludge!
Isn't it a power issue, I think that defrost chucks out about twenty per cent of your maximum out put so it's like cooking at something to a boil then keeping it at a simmer. So yeah I think it would be inappropriate to reverse it for a cottage pie.
