I know this isn't a cookery question but why does a boiled egg smell so awful but fried , scrambled ,or just raw egg doesn't I would really like to know
Boiling an egg releases certain gasses (notably sulphur dioxide - there is sulphur in eggs) by opening certain tissues. Other forms of cooking retain such gasses, at least to a certain extent.
i have found fresh freerange eggs do not pong it the battery ones that stink as them chickens get fed fish pellets the chicken also tastes a bit fishy only eat organic or corn fed chicken. its still the same size when yo take it out the oven bet those cheap ones end up half the size and taste like fish they are vile so dont expect the eggs to be any better
