Ahhhhh, now you're talking... chips and cheese !!!! I can remember my very first taste of chips and (grated) cheese - it was in a caf in The Lanes in Brighton in 1976.... awwwwww, I remember it well hehe
Mr jd likes melted cheese on chips but not gravy
If it's pie & chips then everything has to be smothered in gravy-drool
puddi - why does bailey need councelling?
lol Puddi... why not try it ? Go on, have a go... if I can eat grated cheese with gravy (it was veggie gravy though) as a kid, then you can have a try ! Kids are notoriously picky eaters but I do recall having some odd tastes - I still make my famous ribsticking cheese on toast but mix really strong grated cheddar and finely chopped onion with mashed potato and then pile this onto wholemeal bread and pop it all under the grill.... talk about a filling snack !
JD - remember to cook far too much savoy and mash... then you can have bubble & squeak tomorrow ! I do an awesome bubble & squeak using mashed potato, cooked savoy cabbage, lightly sautd onion - all mashed up together, then formed into little patties and fried both sides in butter.... total yum factor for brekkie.... hehe
