Lentil Curry
13 Answers
I know I shall suffer but I have just made the most delish lentil curry in my good ole slo-cooker -just a Dhansaak really.Took a couple of minutes to lash in and by time I came home it was there saying eat me lol
Had to resort to the plain 'orange' lentils -I normally use the green or brown lentils as they have a nuttier flavour.
Anyone else use the green or brown lentils? Is there a difference do you think in the flavour?

Hiya drissy....I make a red lentil Dhal..........takes about 40 min all told. Black mustard seeds......ground coriander.....ground cumin....and chillie flakes-fry in a touch of oil til the mustard sees pop. Then throw in your lentils-coat with the spices, then cover with veg stock.Cook until almost tender...then add a squeeze of lemon juice, and a teaspoon or so of Garam Masala. Give it another 5 min....serve with basmati rice or naan....and lots of yogurt. Bet it would be easy-peasy in the slow cooker.
