just took a gateau out of the freezer bought a few days ago, eat by date November 2011 but the cherries decorating the top are brown?? Picture on the cover shows nice red cherries, do you reckon the rest is o.k? Was thinking of swapping the cherries for either new ones if I can get them locally or maltesers. Just hoping the rest will be o.k!
i have had this trouble with frozen cherries, your idea of replacing is the best plan,, the rest of the gateau will be fine, maltezers sounds nice but you can also get nice tinned red cherries.
